YouTube Clip of the Week

This week our Beginning Band members are celebrating because we have made it to Line 100! Line 100 is titled, Arirang, which is a Korean Folk Song. This clip is of a famous band piece called Variations on a Korean Folk Song by John Barnes Chance. What do you think of this version?

I thought the song sounded realy good. I also noticed that their notes were realy smooth and conected. I realy iked the end it sounded realy cool.

The song was great I really liked it in the middle when the tempo picked up.The notes all sounded very smooth and connected.It was awesome!

Dear Mr.Peters

That sounded very good. I was amazed on how the CLARINETS were moving so quickly with the band. I also thought that everyone was smooth,and no one was off beat. I hope one day in 6th grade we will be able to sound just like that.

hey i liked it very much. i liked the slurs into this song i like korean/japenesse because they have that calm and collect feel t them . i love this song i could listen to it all day if i wanted to !!!!!!!! bye

Take notes claranets. Watch how fast they move thier fingers. You need to be able to do that. You can acheive this by the ancient Korean art of PRACTACING.
