This video examines the physical effects on a drum corps member's body. These musicians are often considered "athletes" because of the physical effort that must exert in order to perform the difficult marching and playing found within the show. Do you think these performers can be considered athletes based on how conditioned their bodies must be in order to perform?

I'm not sure if they would be considered athletes. I've always thought of band not being atheltic, but I guess it could be if you are doing what these guys are doing. Cool video!

It was really cool how they invented a machine that could plug into a laptop and tell you your heartbeat rate.I think that you can consider the high school and college marching bands.
